Planing Xmas (aka Nicole) and Alan's wedding was an absolute blast!!! The couple was referred to us by two of our former clients and once we chatted - we fell in love with them and the gorgeous vision of their perfect wedding day! The couple chose Foreign Cinema as their venue and wanted to channel old Hollywood charm in all decor details. The color pallet Xmas chose was very vibrant and earthy, and our creative team pulled together unique floral combinations that perfectly reflected her vision. The couple got ready at Mark Hopkins and shared their first look at Fairmont hotel, just across the street. Due to very unpredictable weather in February it can be a challenge to take great photos and to host weddings even partially outdoors. But we were in luck! While there were a few gusts of wind, it was overall warm and the sky was clear! The bridal party took some great photos at the Palace of the Fine Arts before heading over to Foreign Cinema, where Xmas and Alan tied the knot under a custom made gorgeous arch adorned with luscious florals. The dinner reception set up was split between the dining room and partially covered heated courtyard. We used combinations of antique votive, florals and candelabras to achieve an elegant and inviting look. One of the unique features at Foreign Cinema is an ability to project movies on their large bare walls -so the couple chose a few movies they loved to play through dinner between guests' speeches. After dinner the couple moved into the Gallery where they cut their fun-fetti cake and danced late into the night! |
